I am based in the Lake District and run most of my courses here.

I recently established jl mountaineering, to provide navigation courses, hill walking trips and rock climbing courses. I have been providing outdoor activities freelance and in outdoor centres for over 15years years. I run the courses myself and with the aim of helping people to become self sufficient in the mountains.

I currently hold the ML Summer award and SPA award and have climbed in the Alps, Russia and Morroco.
